Rebel Medicine raises undisclosed Series A to accelerate development of opioid-sparing pain therapies

What does Rebel Medicine do?

Rebel Medicine is a Salt Lake City-based clinical-stage biotechnology company that uses proprietary drug delivery technologies to develop extended-release therapeutics. The company focuses on creating innovative treatments that enhance the functionality of validated active pharmaceutical ingredients to address urgent unmet clinical needs.

How much did they raise?

The company raised an undisclosed amount in its Series A round, led by Crocker Ventures with participation from Central Texas Angel Network, Prosperity Solutions Capital, Utah Innovation Fund, SK Hart, the Joan & Tim Fenton Fund, Cantina Angels, and additional angel investors.

What are their plans for the money?

The new funds will be used to accelerate the clinical development of Alevatrix, Rebel Medicine’s lead asset aimed at non-opioid post-operative pain management. This investment is expected to speed up clinical trials, reduce development time, and ultimately provide patients with faster access to innovative pain therapies.

What have they achieved so far?

Rebel Medicine has already made significant progress with Alevatrix in development and is advancing multiple pipeline programs that utilize its proprietary drug delivery systems to extend the release of injectable drugs from days to months.
