CryoCloud raises €2M Seed funding to automate cryo-EM data analysis

What does CryoCloud do?

CryoCloud is a SaaS biotech company that uses machine learning and proprietary algorithms to automate cryo-EM data analysis, enabling researchers worldwide to obtain 3D protein visualizations quickly using scalable cloud infrastructure.

How much did they raise?

The company raised €2M in Seed funding, led by Nina Capital with participation from Value Creation Capital, ROM Utrecht, and Utrecht Health Seed Fund. This round follows a pre-Seed round of €500K in October 2023, bringing the total funding to €2.8M since its inception in 2021.

What are their plans for the money?

The funds will be used to further automate its product and support its diverse user base across more than 25 countries, including academia, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors. This investment could significantly accelerate the adoption of streamlined cryo-EM data analysis globally.
